
F.A.I. EUROPEAN FLYING SCALE MODELS CHAMPIONSHIP F4C
The Portuguese Aeromodelling Federation - Aero Club of Portugal invites all European FAI affiliated National Air Sport Control organizations to join with a team and to participate in the European Championship for F4C class, Radio Control Scale for the year of 2005, in the following conditions:
DATES:
Effective : from 28th August to 4th September 2005.
LOCATION
Pombal - delightful old town located 150 km to the north of Lisboa, the portuguese capital.
Maps of Portugal and the region of Pombal and from the layout and the flying field will be included in this Bulletin .
It is possible to practise in the tracks of Pombal from the 25th to 28th August.
The competition site is at an altitude of 76 metres above sea level.

Two asphaltic runway crossed with 120 X 12 meters and 250 X 12 meters, located 5 km. from Pombal.
Pilot/caller area, Judges area , flightline central marquee, transmitter pound, competitors team area, spectators area, car parking area, bar, toilets, first aid and other services.
One hangar of 20 X 20 meters will be at the disposal of competitors, with tables of 1x2 meters for each competitor.

Every National Aero Club, member of the FAI, may join the competition with a team of 3 competitors in F4C, plus team manager, assistant team manager and helpers, as allowed in the 2005 FAI Sporting Code, Section 4. Each country’s supporters are also invited to attend.
The reigning European Champion in class F4C, is invited to join the competition.

NATIONAL FLAGS AND NATIONAL ANTHEM
All national teams must bring a national flag and his national anthem. They must be given to the Secretariat of the competition on arrival and registration. All flags and national anthems will be returned to the Team Managers on departure, after the Closing Ceremony and before the banquet, at our Secretariat .
RULES
FAI Sporting Code, Section 4 (2005 edition) and amendments.
Each Competitor and Team Manager must have a valid FAI Licence.
INSURANCES
Organizers will provide a third part insurance to cover all registered participants during the competition. The organizers are not responsible for any other injury, loss, theft or damage to persons or property.
All protests must be presented in writing to the Contest Director at the competition and must be accompanied by a fee of 30 Euros. This fee is returned only if the protest is upheld.
AWARDS
Trophies for the top 3 classifications ( both individual and team ) in each class.
Gold, silver and bronze medals will be given to all competitors classified on the first, second and third places ( both individual and team classifications ).
Souvenirs for all competitors, helpers and supporters, and a diploma of participation for each competitor and team manager.

OFFICIAL LANGUAGES
English and Portuguese
The allowed frequencies for radio control model aircraft in Portugal run from 35,010 Mhz to 35,200 Mhz. Other frequencies may be used at each competitors’ own risk.
Scanning of frequencies will be made systematically during all the competition.
There will be a bar opened to the public during all the competition (paid service) on the flight site. The organization will provide lunches at the field, if expressed in the final entry form.
CLOSING CEREMONY AND BANQUET
The closing ceremony will be carried out on the airfield.
The banquet will take place at a restaurant, on the last day of the competition and it will cost 60 Euros per person. You can buy the ticket to the banquet, on the secretariat.
TRANSPORTATION OF PEOPLE
The organizers will provide daily transportation for jury and judges between the hotel and the flying site .
Competitors can take their cars to the flying site and park in the reserved area. Directions to the flying site will be clearly marked. The final information bulletin issued by the organization will show and describe methods of arrival to the town and to the flight site.
All vehicles must have an organization badge on the right side of the windshield, in order to enter in the reserved car park.
TRANSPORTATION OF MODELS
The organizers will provide transportation of the model containers from Lisboa International Airport to the flying site and return, as expressed in the Final Entry Form, paid service at a rate of 140 euros / by container / both ways.
FUEL
It is possible to buy fuel that will be sold by Morgan Fuels representative in Portugal, Helivoo,Lda. Available in many qualities and percentages of nitro.
Cool Power Fuel ( US gallon ):

The organization is planning a sightseeing trip to the surroundings of Pombal, on the reserve day.

Basic entry fees include competition entry fees, souvenirs, touring information, t-shirt, cap, Bulletin n.º 4 , ECF405 Magazine and a poster. Includes also access to flight site, Opening Ceremony and reception.
Late payments of Fees, lodgement, banquet and other fees will be penalised with a surcharge of 30% of the normal prices.
