How to get to Pombal
- From Lisbon Airport (by train)
- Take a Taxi at Lisbon Airport to Gare do Oriente Train Station. At the Gare do Oriente Train Station get a Portuguese Railways (CP) train to Pombal (direct link).
- From Lisbon Airport (by car)
- From Lisbon Airport take A1 Motorway (Lisboa/Porto), heading Porto. You have to travel about 150 Km to get to Pombal. Get off at Exit [Figueira da Foz / Pombal]. Bear RIGHT (East) onto Ramp towards Figueira da Foz / Pombal. After the Toll Plaza keep RIGHT to stay on Ramp towards IC8 (Castelo Branco / Pombal). Road name changes to IC8. At first exit bear RIGHT onto N237 towards Pombal.
- From Oporto Airport (by train)
- Take a Taxi at Oporto Airport to Campanhã Train Station. At the Campanhã Train Station get a Portuguese Railways (CP) train to Pombal (direct link).
- From Oporto Airport (by car)
- From Oporto Airport take A8 Motorway (Braga/Porto), heading Porto. In Oporto take A1 Motorway (Lisboa/Porto), heading Lisbon. You have to travel about 150 Km to get to Pombal. Get off at Exit [Figueira da Foz / Pombal]. Bear RIGHT (East) onto Ramp towards Figueira da Foz / Pombal. After the Toll Plaza keep RIGHT to stay on Ramp towards IC8 (Castelo Branco / Pombal). Road name changes to IC8. At first exit bear RIGHT onto N237 towards Pombal.
- From SPAIN (north)
- From Salamanca (Spain) on Road A-62 [E-80]. Keep STRAIGHT onto N-620 [E-80] towards Vilar Formoso. When you enter Portugal, road name changes to IP5 [E-80]. Keep STRAIGHT on IP5 towards the city of Viseu. Just before getting to Viseu you have to turn onto IP3 towards the city of Coimbra. At the city of Coimbra you have to turn onto Motorway A1 (South) towards Lisboa/Leiria. You going to travel 36 Km to Pombal. Get off at Exit [Figueira da Foz / Pombal]. Bear RIGHT (East) onto Ramp towards Figueira da Foz / Pombal. After the Toll Plaza keep RIGHT to stay on Ramp towards IC8 / Castelo Branco / Pombal. Road name changes to IC8. At first exit bear RIGHT onto N237 towards Pombal.
- From Spain (south)
- From Badajoz/Spain (Elvas/Portugal) and following on the A6 expressway towards Lisboa till Marateca. There, the same expressway becomes the A2 towards Palmela/Setúbal and after 18 Kms, you will find a right exit to the A12 motorway to Lisbon (via Ponte Vasco da Gama). After the Bridge Vasco da Gama you turn onto Motorway A1 towards Porto. You have to travel about 150 Km to get to Pombal. Get off at Exit [Figueira da Foz / Pombal]. Bear RIGHT (East) onto Ramp towards Figueira da Foz / Pombal. After the Toll Plaza keep RIGHT to stay on Ramp towards IC8 (Castelo Branco / Pombal). Road name changes to IC8. At first exit bear RIGHT onto N237 towards Pombal.
